Chapter Fourteen

‡

I groaned, thrusting into the heat of Adam’s mouth, peering out the windows of the car, trying to see if anyone was around in the darkness. The lights from Robert’s house were bright and inviting. A Christmas tree on the front porch blinked with multi-colored lights, and we were in the car just across from it giving each other quickie blow jobs.

I grabbed his head and curled over him, coming with a hard grunt. I fell back against the seat, and Adam tucked my dick into my pants.

“Ready?” he asked.

I laughed shakily. “Let me catch my breath! Jesus!”

Adam leaned back and waited about five seconds. “Ready?”

I groaned and opened my car door. “Okay. Fine.”

He rubbed his hands together gleefully and hopped out. We walked together toward the house, not touching because we didn’t know who might be living in the houses around Robert.

The neighborhood, Fourth & Gill, was an older one set a few blocks away from the local homeless shelter. It was mainly occupied by university students and the elderly, but some of the bigger houses were being renovated, giving the area a pre-gentrification feel. A few vagrants from the shelter wandered the streets, begging money from the students as they headed out for the night.

A man in a red velour dress suit holding a plastic cup of beer opened Robert’s front door as we approached. “Come in, come in!” he greeted us as though he owned the place. “Robert’s in the kitchen. The food’s in there too. And the keg.”

Adam grabbed my hand and pulled me into the house. It was full of people, dressed in everything from T-shirts and jeans to full-costumed Victorian period gowns. Adam guided me through the maze of bodies, somehow sensing the way to the kitchen. The sound of laughter and scent of marijuana smoke hit me as we walked through the living room.

One wall of the kitchen was painted dark purple with giant silver swirls all over the walls, like an expanding galaxy. I was admiring the complexity of the mural when Adam said, “And here we go!”

“Naughty Boy and Sweetie!” Robert—no, Renée, crossed to us, hands outstretched. She pulled us both into hugs and then motioned for beers to be brought over.

Barry showed up at her side, as big and bald as I remembered. “Don’t you think you should learn from prior mistakes and not give these kids anything to drink?”

“You’re no fun, Barry, baby.”

He grimaced as beers were pressed into our hands.

Before we could even say hello in return, Renée was off and across the room, draping herself around another new arrival.

Barry eyed me. “Don’t get drunk. Got it?”

I nodded. Barry stalked away and I watched him put his arm around Renée’s waist. Turning to Adam, I found him already talking to a guy with eyeliner and black lipstick. Adam rested his hand on my hip, and I sipped my beer, listening to them discuss the pros and cons of The Cure’s latest album, while looking at the photos of Robert, Barry, and Renée hung on the wall.
